I-5 Bridge Gateway to Vancouver, WA

Vancouver Washington has so many attributes that it is difficult to summarize them all. If you were to ask a Vancouverite the benefits of living here you will most likely hear responses like, “The schools are some of the best in the state”, the cost of living is better than Seattle and Portland”, “there is no income tax in Washington”, “We can enjoy the benefits of being next to a big city without living in a big city” and “We are within a couple of hours to the mountain, the ocean, the high desert, and multiple lakes”.

Vancouver is rich in history, home of the iconic Fort Vancouver, a trading post established in 1824. It is now a museum and a popular field trip destination for school aged children. Also, the area’s largest firework display is held near the Fort on the 4th of July, and is a popular place for the locals to celebrate.

A popular place to visit in Vancouver is Esther Short Park, where the Vancouver Farmer’s Market is located, a large play structure, an interactive water feature, a bell tower, the location of many festivals, outdoor concerts and other community events.

Other places to visit would be the Columbia River, where there are sandy beaches, boat docks, fishing and camping.

Vancouver has one shopping mall, Westfield Vancouver Mall, with Macy’s, Sears and JC Penny as anchor stores.

You can get to the Portland International Airport within 10-25 minutes from most of Vancouver.

Vancouver is bicycle friendly with bike lanes throughout the city. Also, there are several off leash dog parks within the Vancouver area.
