Amboy is know as a quiet rural setting about 12 miles north of Battle Ground offering a peaceful solitude very close to nature. The Amboy community is for those looking for a slower lifestyle far from the crowds and amenities. Amboy’s Territorial Day in July is a crowd pleaser with Logging show, Lawn Mower Races, and food booths. Lake Merwin located 6 miles NorthEast of Amboy attracts fisherman, campers, and hikers. The Kokanee (freshwater salmon) are the main target for local fisherman.  Lake Merwin is also home to Campers Hideaway a private membership camping club about 45 minutes from Vancouver. Of course this trip back in time would not be complete without a stop at Nick’s Tavern a Clark County Icon to be sure.
